Slow Flow with Gabby Ureña Matos

Come be with your breath, your body, and your mind on your mat. This slow flow class is an opportunity to pause, ground, and move as you need to. We'll gradually shift through poses, hold some for longer than others, and explore how our breath moves along with us. Bring your yoga mat, your aches from holding a camera at weird angles, and a little time carved out of your day.

This class is open to everyone — no experience or prior knowledge of yoga is necessary.

Registration is required, as space will be limited.

A little bit about Gabby

“I made my way into yoga through dance, guided by teachers and mentors who saw it as a natural pairing to the art. I felt pulled to the practice and with time found myself in a 30 hour yin yoga training. A few years later, I completed my 200 hour and yet again felt a pull that now expanded into teaching. Yoga became a constant that is always changing; a place where I can reflect on my connection to myself, to those who have guided me, and to those I’ve yet to build community with.

Restorative and yin are the practices I feel most kinship with: practices that remind me to counter the fast-paced way of living I’m used to. I also enjoy teaching creative vinyasa and slow flows that encourage you to explore new ways to approach the familiar. Whatever format it is, class will always offer plenty of variations, reminders to draw you into the present, and a space for you to move and be as you need.

Outside of class, you can find me cooking and baking for those I love, crafting with friends, and soaking up as much sun as I can whether on the floor of my living room, in a hammock, or out in the city.”
