About uS
Green Street Photo Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community of Boston-area photographers united by collaboration, connection, and creative growth. Grounded in documentary photography, we bring together photographers from journalism, fine art, and commercial storytelling to support one another’s practice. Anchored by our shared studio space in Jamaica Plain, we believe in the power of community to make creative practices sustainable. We see our space as more than just a place to create— it’s where we learn from one another, support each other's practice, and give back to the community beyond our walls.

Emilio Musto
CORE MEMBER
Emilio Musto is a freelance photographer from Massachusetts who began photographing politics through the guise of American pride in the current politically divided landscape. Wanting to apply this vision back home, he turned his focus on the suburbs where he grew up. Through his eyes, suburbia has become an evolving artscape: a reinterpretation of the American Dream. From weathered religious statues standing beside trash piles, flourishing gardens built from collected scraps, and bright white fences merging into rusty wired ones, with this Emilio sees the same public-private tension he first explored in political imagery.

In his explorations as a self-taught artist, he has often dedicated himself to experimental techniques in surrealist photography and free verse poetry. As he works on his projects, he’s had the privilege to work and be inspired by a supportive community of artists in the New England area.
